Yelto (the "Service") is an AI phone-calling service for teams, provided by Kouidev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, who else sees it, and the choices you and the people your team calls have. It covers this website and the Yelto web app.
The short version. The assistant calls the numbers your team gives it and says it is an AI. We keep a written transcript, the answers and the call details so your team can review them. We do not record or store call audio. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
1. Who is responsible for what
Two kinds of people's information pass through the Service, and our role differs:
- Your team and your organization (names, work emails, roles, billing details, how you use the Service). For this we are the controller.
- The people your team calls (their phone number, what they say on the call, anything your team tells the assistant about them). Your organization decides whom to call and why, so your organization is the controller and we process this information on its behalf, under our Terms of use. If you are a business customer and need a data processing agreement, email support@sales.yelto.app.
2. Information we handle
A. Your account and organization
- Sign-in details: name, email address and a sign-in method (password or a sign-in provider you choose), handled by our sign-in provider.
- Team membership: which organization you belong to and your role (owner, admin, billing, caller or viewer), invitations and any spending cap set for you.
- Organization details: business name, type, country, website, time zone, team size and what you plan to use the Service for. We review these before an organization can place calls, and keep your calling settings (calling hours, do-not-call list, caller ID).
- Caller ID: if you ask us to show your own number on calls, we verify that you control it. This sends a short automated call to the number and stores the number and the result.
B. Calls
- What your team enters: the playbook, the number to call, the recipient's name or business, and details such as a property address or a question. Do not enter anything you would not want read out to the other side or stored with the call.
- What the call produces: start and end times, duration, outcome, the written transcript, a short summary and the answers the playbook asks for (for example price, availability or a time offered).
- Lists you upload for batch calls (numbers and the details you add), and the schedule you choose.
- Decisions: when the assistant asks your team how to proceed, we store the question and the answer with the call.
C. Call audio
During a call, audio is streamed in real time to the providers that make the assistant speak and listen (see section 4). It is processed while the call is going and is not recorded or stored by us. We keep the written transcript, not the audio.
D. Payments
You top up a shared balance by card through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep a ledger of top-ups and call charges, the payment status and invoices.
E. Usage and diagnostics
We record product usage (for example which pages are used and that a call was placed) and technical errors to run and improve the Service. These records identify your organization and account, not what was said on calls. Error reports are filtered so they do not carry transcripts, call content or phone numbers.
F. Messages from you
If you email us, we keep the message and our reply.
3. How we use it
- To place the calls you ask for, show them live, and store the transcript, answers and summary.
- To run your account: sign-in, teams and roles, balance, billing and receipts.
- To keep the Service safe: we review new organizations, enforce calling hours and do-not-call lists, detect abuse and meet legal duties.
- To contact you about the Service: invitations, receipts, security and service notices.
- To fix problems and improve the Service, using usage and error data as described above.
We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use your call content to train AI models.
4. Who else processes it
We use these service providers (subprocessors). Each receives only what its job needs:
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Twilio | Telephone network: places the call and carries the audio | Phone numbers, call audio and call metadata |
| Google (Vertex AI) | The AI voice that speaks and listens on the call | Live call audio, the playbook instructions and details for the call |
| OpenAI | Speech-to-text, translation and the written summary and answers | Transcript text and call details |
| Clerk | Sign-in and team management | Name, email, organization and role |
| Stripe | Card payments for balance top-ups | Payment details you enter with Stripe, and the amount |
| Resend | Sends our emails (invitations, receipts, notices) | Email address and the message |
| Hosting and database providers | Run the Service and store its data | Everything the Service stores |
We run our own product analytics and error tracking, so that data does not go to a third-party analytics company. We may update this list as we add or change providers; we will change this page when we do. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or in a merger or sale of the business, in which case we will tell you.
5. If you were called by the assistant
The assistant says at the start of every call that it is an AI calling on behalf of a business. If you do not want to be called again, say so on the call: it will end politely and the number is added to that organization's do-not-call list. You can also email support@sales.yelto.app with your number and the organization that called, and we will help block further calls and answer questions about your information. Because the organization that called you decides why it called, requests about that call are best sent to them as well; we will pass yours on if you ask.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and call records: kept while your organization's account is open, so your team can review its history.
- After you close an account: calls stop at once and call content (transcripts, answers, summaries) is deleted after 30 days.
- Billing records and invoices: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Call audio: not stored.
7. Transfers outside your country
Our providers operate in the United States and other countries, so information may be processed there. Where the law requires it, we rely on approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers from the UK or EU.
8. Security
Each organization's data is separated from every other organization's at the database level, access inside an organization follows roles, and information is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK and EU under data protection law, and California), you may have the right to see, correct, delete or export your information, to object to or restrict some uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email support@sales.yelto.app. For information an organization controls (such as a call's transcript), we act on its instructions and may refer you to it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
10. Who it is for
The Service is for businesses and the adults who work for them. It is not for people under 18, and it must not be used for emergency calls.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for account holders, tell you by email or in the app.
